A spool rocket made from two CDs. A very simple rocket that is extremely stable, but needs a lot of thrust to go very high. We launched it with a C6-5 engine and it only flew to 183 feet.

Where in the world is my rocket? Can you find it in the photo? Hint: the parachute has more orange than red in it. The name of this rocket is VANS, and it achieved an altitude of 519 feet before floating into the oleanders. John and Brynn were the flight engineers and Harris and Sarah were the mission specialists. We never found out if the egg survived, but we assume it did!
